Neurodegenerative diseases or the degeneration of brain function affects millions of people around the world. The most common are Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. In 2016, almost 6 million Americans lived with Alzheimer’s and it is estimated that in this year, 2020, about a million more could be living with Parkinson’s disease.

The occurrence of neurodegenerative diseases is inevitable with aging since the nerve cells in the brain or peripheral nervous system slowly lose function and ultimately die without the ability of regenerating. This risk that comes with age creates a need to improve how we understand and perceive neurodegenerative diseases and be open to developments for prevention and treatment. Some treatments have been found to relieve or delay some of the physical and mental symptoms associated with these diseases.

According to Mayo Clinic Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive disorder that causes brain cells to waste away (degenerate) and die. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia — a continuous decline in thinking, behavioral and social skills that disrupts a person’s ability to function independently. On the other hand Parkinson’s disease is a progressive nervous system disorder that affects movement. Symptoms start gradually, sometimes starting with a barely noticeable tremor in just one hand. Tremors are common, but the disorder also commonly causes stiffness or slowing of movement. Parkinson’s symptoms worsen over time.

What Causes Brain Degeneration?

The findings, reported in a paper published in the Journal Cell, could ultimately help researchers develop new approaches to preventing cognitive decline in disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease.

Each time we learn something new, our brain cells break their DNA, creating damage that the neurons must immediately repair, according to Li-Huei Tsai, the Picower Professor of Neuroscience and director of the Picower Institute for Learning and Memory at MIT.

Cells physiologically break their DNA to allow certain important genes to be expressed. In the case of neurons, they need to break their DNA to enable the expression of early response genes, which ultimately pave the way for the transcriptional program that supports learning and memory, and many other behaviors.

Slower DNA Repair

However, as we age, our cells’ ability to repair this DNA damage weakens, leading to degeneration. When we are young, our brains create DNA breaks as we learn new things, but our cells are absolutely on top of this and can quickly repair the damage to maintain the functionality of the system. But during aging, and particularly with some genetic conditions, the efficiency of the DNA repair system is compromised, leading to the accumulation of damage, and in our view this could be very detrimental.

Caviar Swiss Cell Therapy – Caviarlieri

Caviarlieri is scientifically and synergistically developed to stimulate and trigger our own body system to heal, repair and renew our cells versus damaged cells. By providing bio active nutrition at the cellular level, Caviarlieri helps accelerate protein synthesis and cellular repair.

Caviarlieri – Swiss Caviar Supplement Box

In a peer reviewed published in vitro study of Caviarlieri, it is proven that Caviarlieri facilitates the differentiation of whole set of brain cells (neurons, astrocytes and oligodendrocytes). The observed reciprocal response between neuronal and glial populations suggest that Caviarlieri can potentially affect a neuronal lineage of the neural progenitor cells, having the ability to generate both neuronal and glial cells. Thus, Caviarlieri can effectively protect degeneration in some integral parts of the brain, specifically the Hippocampus and may be able to stimulate neurogenesis in the mature brain.

The Hippocampus is a part of the brain structure that has a very important role in the limbic system which regulates emotion, learning and memory. Neurodegenerative diseases affect all three and decrease their ability.

Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor

Another potential benefit for the brain is BDNF. BDNF stands for Brain-derived Neurotrophic Factor which is a protein that promotes the survival of nerve cells by playing a role in the growth, maturation, and maintenance of these cells. The supplementation of Caviarlieri has shown to bring about a significant increase in the levels of BDNF meaning, the nerve cells survivability is enhanced, thus preventing the occurrence of degenerative symptoms. BDNF also generates therapeutic effects for metabolic and neurological diseases.

According to the study, we cannot rule out that Caviarlieri (caviar supplement) may contain other smaller unsaturated fatty acids, structural phospholipids and neurotransmitter precursors, which may to pass through blood-brain barrier and which remain to be defined by further ongoing studies.

Caviarlieri is synergistically formulated the following potent key bioactive ingredients:

Caviar Cellular DNA Extracts and Marine Peptides

One of the key ingredients of Caviarlieri is the Caviar Cellular DNA extract with Marine peptides which can help in the rejuvenation and revitalization of cells.

These bio marine compounds have also been found to have a positive effect on basic mechanisms that affect key inflammatory molecules involved in metabolic syndrome.

In addition, these extracts have strong antioxidant properties which can potentially help to reduce oxidative stress in the brain. Oxidative stress occurs upon excessive free radical production resulting from an insufficiency of the counteracting antioxidant response system. The brain, with its high oxygen consumption and lipid-rich content, is highly susceptible to oxidative stress.

Marine Collagen and Elastin Plus

Collagen is a protein that forms connective tissues throughout the body. Naturally, our bodies produce collagen every day, but aging slows down that production and hence the need for efficient supplements. Collagen has 20 amino acid peptides that aid in brain and memory support. Marine collagen has high percentages of natural peptides such as Glycine and many more which contributes to healthy neurological and cognitive function. Glycine makes up about 20% of the amino acids in collagen and benefits of Glycine include an improvement in sleep and inhibitory functions that decrease the excitation of the brain which in effect promotes the mind to focus and calm down more effectively.

Collagen studies are also underway for its capacity to protect brain cells against Amyloid-Beta proteins which are widely thought to cause Alzheimer.

Coenzyme Q10

Mitochondria is a part of the cell that generates energy. For brain cells, it is the main energy-generator. Again, with aging, mitochondrial function decreases and its total dysfunction can lead to death of the brain cells which result to cognitive decline in diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

The brain is very vulnerable to oxidative damage because of its high demand for oxygen and high fatty acid content. Oxidative damage creates harmful compounds or free radicals that affect memory, cognition and physical functions. This is where Coq10 comes in as an antioxidant as it reduces the proliferation of these harmful compounds to slow down progression of neurodegenerative diseases. Antioxidant stores in the body also decline with age. CoQ10 has the potential to improve brain function due to established benefits on mitochondrial function, vascular function and oxidative stress. All of which contribute largely to overall brain health.

Selenium

Selenium is a trace mineral and may not be deemed as necessary to the body as many other minerals. In fact, micronutrient deficiency is a global problem which not a lot of people are aware of. However, studies show how Selenium can contribute to brain health and even depression.

One journal states “Selenium is an essential trace element that is vital for the proper functioning of several selenoproteins involved in antioxidant defenses within the brain and nervous system”. Therefore, Selenium has antioxidant properties that help supplement decreasing antioxidant levels in aging as well as reducing free radicals that have negative effects to the brain. The accumulation of free radicals contribute to brain cell damage which in return deteriorates brain function.

Selenium is also required for the synthesis and metabolism of thyroid hormones which play a part in one’s mood. One journal states “It has been long recognized by clinical investigators that thyroid function is associated with neuropsychiatric manifestation, such as mood disorders, cognitive dysfunction and other psychiatric symptoms. Selenium deficiency and resulting deregulation of thyroid function may play a role in the development of depression.”

A study done in 1991 by Brenton and Cook revealed that Selenium supplementation was associated with improvements in one’s mood. Other studies were also done in nursing home residents wherein selenium supplementation was linked to a decrease in depressions scores and increase in serum levels.

Selenium serum level is associated with decreased cognitive function as it was found to be associated with drops in selenium levels. People with Alzheimer’s have lower blood levels of selenium.

The combination of these potent ingredients and their therapeutic effects make Caviarlieri outstanding and a necessity for brain protection and delaying the progression of age related brain degenerative diseases.
